k and i collaborated on this gift for a small friend's birthday this weekend. did i mention k is into making wands lately? chalk it up to harry potter fever, i guess. he takes dead tree branches from the backyard and "sculpts" them with a belt sander. the same technique is useful for making other stuff too. i will have to show you asher's wooden knife collection next.
